Data validation is a Tinx Connector feature that lets you define which fields must be populated before a record is published to your webshop. You can require these fields for records such as a customer, item, or order, and set them up separately for each sales channel.
When a record doesn't meet the requirements you set up, Tinx Connector notifies you, so you can fix the issue before synchronization continues.
How it works
When validation is active, the connector checks key fields and relationships, such as missing SKUs, unmatched customers, or incomplete mapping, and provides clear, actionable messages.
If properly configured, you see what is wrong, where, and why, so you can fix issues faster.
Interactive walkthrough
The following interactive walkthrough demonstrates how to enable data validation in Feature Management, configure validation rules for sales channels, set up field-level validation and table filters, and verify that records with validation errors are prevented from synchronizing until the issues are resolved.
A practical use case for the data validation feature is to ensure that all necessary fields are populated before a record is published to the webshop. Different webshops have different mandatory field requirements. If you know which fields are mandatory for your webshop, configure them in the Data Validation feature for the appropriate sales channel.
