Update Customer License for Tinx in On-Premise BC/NAV

Using the Tinx Module with On-Premise BC/NAV Installations

To utilize the Tinx module in an on-premise setup of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) or Dynamics NAV, it's essential that the customer's license is updated to include the appropriate Tinx modules. This update must be performed by the customer's Dynamics partner before any configuration or connection can proceed.

Required Information

To initiate this process, Tinx requires the following details:

  • Partner Account Number (VOICE ID): This can be found in the PartnerSource Business Center.

  • Partner Name

  • Partner Country

  • Product Line: Please specify the product line for which the customer's license should be updated.

Note that the VOICE ID is typically retrieved from the client's license file or the PartnerSource Business Center, as it's not stored within BC itself.

Process Overview

  1. Information Submission: At the commencement of a project, the above information should be sent via email to the Tinx implementation consultant assigned to your project.

  2. Reseller Addition: Upon receipt, Tinx will add the partner as a reseller in the Microsoft system.

  3. License Update Notification: Once the addition is complete, the consultant will inform you, enabling you or your BC/NAV partner to incorporate the necessary granule into your BC/NAV license.

This process ensures that the Tinx module functions correctly within your on-premise BC/NAV environment.
