If you’re using the Tinx E-Com Admin role in Business Central, you’ll notice a section called Marketplace under
Sales & Order Processing → Marketplace.
This section is used only for the Amazon Connector. It doesn’t include any data or functions from other e-commerce integrations such as WooCommerce, Shopify, or Magento — those have their own separate areas in Business Central.
The Marketplace area serves as the central workspace for everything related to Amazon. It’s where data from Amazon Seller Central is received, stored, and processed within BC, forming the bridge between your Amazon store and your Business Central sales and finance data.
Within the Marketplace section, you’ll find six options related to the Amazon Connector:
Amazon Orders
Amazon Returns
Amazon Feeds
Amazon Reports
Amazon Shipping Logs
Amazon Settlements
These pages together provide a complete overview of the data being exchanged with Amazon — allowing you to monitor, validate, and process transactions directly inside BC without switching to Seller Central.
Marketplace Pages Explained
Amazon Orders
A temporary or “buffer” table where new Amazon web orders are stored after being downloaded. You’ll typically open this page to:
Review incoming orders (FBA or FBM) before they’re converted into BC sales orders or invoices.
Check for missing data or mapping issues (for example, item numbers or shipping methods)
Once validated, orders are created as regular BC documents for further processing.
Amazon Returns
Holds return or refund data received from Amazon. Use this page to:
Review return reasons and quantities.
Process sales credit memos or restock returned items. The data is imported automatically from Amazon’s return reports.
Amazon Feeds
Lists all feed submissions that BC has sent to Amazon — such as inventory updates or shipment confirmations. Use this page to:
Check whether feeds were successfully processed by Amazon.
Review any failed updates and their error messages. This helps ensure that your listings and stock levels remain in sync.
Amazon Reports
Shows the status of Amazon reports downloaded into BC, either automatically or on request.
Examples include settlement reports, return reports, and order reports. Use this page to confirm that scheduled downloads are running correctly and that all expected reports have been received.
Amazon Shipping Logs
Displays shipment and tracking information sent from BC to Amazon for fulfilled orders (mainly FBM).
Use this when verifying that an order’s shipping confirmation and carrier data were transmitted correctly.
Amazon Settlements
Contains parsed financial data from Amazon’s settlement reports — including sales, taxes, commissions, shipping fees, and reimbursements. Use this page to:
Review payout details per report.
Support reconciliation or credit memo creation in BC.
Each settlement record represents one report; each line within it shows a detailed financial transaction.
How the Connector Works in the Background
Data between Amazon and BC is exchanged automatically via the Amazon Seller API.
Orders, returns, and settlement data are imported into the corresponding Marketplace tables.
Inventory levels and fulfillment updates flow in the opposite direction — from BC back to Amazon.
These jobs typically run on scheduled intervals; no manual download or upload is required.
Most users won’t need to configure anything here. The Marketplace pages simply give you visibility and control over the data the connector processes.
