Tinx Connector uses two pages to configure webshop-related settings: the E-commerce Setup page and the Sales Channel Card page. Some settings appear on both pages. Which page your system reads depends on the mapping configuration set up when Tinx Connector was implemented.
Originally, Tinx Connector stored all webshop configuration in a single global page: E-commerce Setup. This worked well when a Business Central environment connected to only one webshop. As multi-channel setups became more common, a per-channel approach became more practical. The Sales Channel Card page allows each sales channel to carry its own configuration independently.
The Shopify connector was the first to be updated to use the Sales Channel Card page approach. Other connectors continue to use the E-commerce Setup page until their mapping packages are updated.
The following table lists several parameters and where they are configured.
| Parameter | Where to set up | For more information |
|---|---|---|
| Transfer BC Attributes | Sales Channel | Importing Business Central attributes to Tinx Connector |
| Check E-mail New Customers | E-commerce Setup | Customer matching |
| Sales order number series | both | |
| Guest customer number | both |
For the fields that can be configured on both pages, you need to know which page your environment reads. The definitive answer lies in the message definition mappings. The mapping for each message definition either points to fields on the E-commerce Setup page or fields on the Sales Channel Card page.
If you’re unsure which page applies to your environment, check the message definition mappings or ask the consultant who implemented Tinx Connector.
If you installed Tinx Connector from Microsoft AppSource and used the default setup, follow this guidance:
- For Shopify, configure the webshop on the Sales Channel Card page.
- For all other webshops, configure the webshop on the E-commerce Setup page.
