Tinx Connector supports multiple product synchronization methods from Business Central to various webshops. One of them is configurable products. They are items with multiple variants, such as different sizes, colors, or materials.
How it works
Configurable products consist of a base product and its individual variants. The component method creates the base product as a configurable product and links each variant to it as a component. This keeps all product details consistent between Business Central and your webshop, providing an efficient way to manage complex product offerings.
- Base product and component setup. Set up your configurable product along with its component items in Business Central. Tinx Connector identifies the base product and its corresponding components.
- Mapping and configuration. Use the Tinx Connector's mapping configuration to define how the base product and its variants should be synced to your webshop. This includes setting up key attributes and confirming that the components are correctly linked.
- Synchronization. Tinx Connector uploads the base product and its associated components to your webshop. The configurable product is then created with its variations, so customers can select the option they want directly on the storefront.
- Ongoing updates. Any changes made in Business Central to either the base product or its components are automatically updated in your webshop, keeping your catalog consistent.
