Magento B2B Pricing & Discounts

Last updated on August 12, 2026

B2B merchants typically negotiate individual prices, volume discounts, and campaign rates with their customers. Magento standard functionality offers limited support for the complex price hierarchies that Business Central manages. As a result, it’s difficult to show each logged-in customer their agreed price on the storefront. The Magento B2B Pricing & Discounts plugin solves this by bringing Business Central price lists and customer assignments into Magento. There, you can define rules that apply the correct price to each customer.

This article explains how to install and configure the plugin, and how to use the information published from Business Central to Magento to define pricing rules for your B2B customers.

The plugin works alongside Tinx Magento Connector. With the connector, you use dedicated synchronization dashboards to push price list data and customer information from Business Central to Magento. With the Magento plugin installed, you then configure pricing rules that apply sales prices, discounts, and charges. You can set up these rules for the customer, customer price group, or purchased quantity.

Tinx has also developed a WooCommerce pricing plugin with similar functionality. For more information, see Configure the B2B Pricing plugin. To better understand B2B price synchronization, see Manage B2B pricing in your webshop.

To install the plugin in Magento

You must request the Magento B2B Pricing & Discounts plugin from Tinx. Contact the Tinx Support Team. You receive a link or an account to download the package. Then you can upload it as a plugin in Magento. The plugin does not require any API credentials to work. The Magento plugins are available on Adobe Commerce Marketplace, which is the default marketplace for Magento plugins. You are not able to download the Magento B2B Pricing & Discounts from Adobe Commerce Marketplace.

To configure the plugin in Magento

  1. Log in to your Magento webshop backend.

To publish price data from Business Central to Magento

The Magento B2B Pricing & Discounts plugin relies on the data published from Business Central to Magento. You can define specific rules in Magento based on price lists and customer information.

  • Use the M2R_OUT_B2BPRICING synchronization dashboard to publish price lists from Business Central to Magento. For example, you can publish the starting date, sales type, price, and so on.
  • Use the M2R_OUT_CUSTOMERS synchronization dashboard to publish a customer price group or customer discount group from Business Central to Magento.

Ensure that both dashboards and related message definitions are running. For more information, see Running synchronization dashboards and activating message definitions.

For the Magento B2B Pricing & Discounts plugin, you can use prices from Business Central price lists, the Price List Line table (7001). You can also use prices from the Item Price Container table. For more information, see Synchronize prices.

To define pricing rules in Magento

The following procedure describes how to use the prices published by Business Central to define pricing rules in Magento. The prices can’t be edited directly in Magento.

  1. On the admin sidebar in Magento, select B2B Pricing. Then choose either Sales Prices or Sales Line Discounts & Charge, depending on the type of pricing data you want to manage.

  2. You can establish different pricing scenarios in Magento using the plugin. The following screenshot shows the 24-MB04 product offered at a 10, 20, or 30 percent discount depending on the purchased quantity.

  3. If you have many different pricing rules, you can use the priority field to define which rule should be applied first. The following screenshot shows an example of the priority setup. The same item 1010001 has different prices. There is a regular price (shown as priority 3), which is overridden by custom prices defined by the sales codes (shown as priority 2). However, you might have a specific price agreement with a specific customer. If so, you can list those customers by entering their IDs in the Sales Code field. Apply priority 1 to all of them. In this example, some customers must also order a minimum of 5 units to receive a special price, as defined in the Min. Quantity field.

You can’t edit prices in the Magento B2B Pricing & Discounts plugin. The plugin is designed to use the prices published from Business Central. If you need to change the prices, you should do so in Business Central and then synchronize them to Magento.

To review the customer price group defined for the customer

  1. Select Customers from the Admin sidebar in Magento, and then choose All Customers.

  2. Select the relevant customer, and then choose Edit.

  3. On the Customer Information page, select the Business Central Details tab to review information imported from Business Central. For example, in the Customer Price Group field, you can see the price group assigned to the customer in Business Central. The Business Central Details tab is a part of the plugin.
