Use Tinx Amazon Connector to connect Business Central with Amazon. The goal is to set up a connection that allows you to send data from Business Central to Amazon and to import data from Amazon into Business Central. To do that, complete the following steps.
- Authorize the Tinx public application in Seller Central. Authorize the Tinx public application and generate an API key. You need the API key to configure the sales channel in Business Central. If you prefer to generate the API key with your private application, skip this step. Complete the procedure in Use a private application to connect Business Central with Amazon, and then return to this article to continue with steps 2 to 4.
- Install Tinx Amazon Connector. Install the connector from AppSource and complete the initial setup in Business Central.
- Create and configure an Amazon sales channel. To configure the sales channel in Business Central, use the API key from step 1.
- Test the connection. Verify that Business Central can communicate with Amazon.
This article mentions three applications. Tinx Amazon Connector is the ISV application that you install in Business Central to connect it with Amazon Seller Central. The Tinx public application and your private application are Amazon applications and serve a different purpose. You need one of them only to get the API key for the Amazon sales channel in Business Central. The following procedure describes how to use the Tinx public application to enable a connection between Business Central and Amazon. An alternative method is a private application. You need a private application if you need to import personally identifiable information (PII) automatically from Amazon into Business Central. For more information about the difference between public and private applications, see Choosing between a public and a private application. If you prefer the private application, Create a private application in Amazon Seller Central instead of authorizing the Tinx public application for Selling Partner API (SP-API) access. Then, continue the procedure described in this article: install Tinx Amazon Connector from AppSource and set up the sales channel. For more information, see To install Tinx Amazon Connector and complete the initial configuration.
To authorize the Tinx public application in Seller Central
If your Amazon selling plan is Individual, you can't access the Selling Partner Appstore to authorize the Tinx public application. You need a Professional selling account. For more information, see Selling Partner Appstore.
Complete the following steps to authorize the Tinx public application to access your Amazon account through the SP-API.
Log in to your Seller Central account.
Open the Selling Partner Appstore. For more information, see Selling Partner Appstore.
Search for TINX, and then select the Tinx Marketplace Business Central app.
-
Select the Authorize Now button.
-
On the Authorize Tinx Marketplace Business Central page, select Login to Tinx Marketplace Business Central now.
When you log in, you're automatically redirected to the page that displays your tokens and Seller Id. The Auth Code (the authorization token), Seller Id, and Refresh Token values appear on the screen.
Copy the Refresh Token value to a secure location. You need this value to configure the Amazon sales channel in Business Central.
Send the Seller ID and Refresh Token values to the Tinx Support Team. Request the Client ID and Client Secret values that you need to enter on the Sales Channel Card page in Business Central.

For more information, see Sales channel.
In Business Central, select Search (Alt+Q) in the upper-right corner, enter Sales Channels, and then choose the related link.
On the Sales Channel List page, on the action bar, in the New group, choose the Amazon Setup Wizard action.

- On the Select Marketplace IDs page, you can select multiple marketplaces.
- To authorize with the Tinx credentials, turn on the Use Public Amazon App toggle. This toggle refers to the Tinx public application. If you prefer to authorize with your private application, turn the toggle off and use your own credentials. For more information, see Choosing between a public and a private application.

If this is your first time using Tinx Amazon Connector, finish the Quickstart first.
